Hello Fishing Folks
New member and first post, but life-time fisher.
Just wanted to get my "feet wet", so I thought to report my last trip to Roses Lake in Chelan county. Went out for an hour or so just to enjoy the water, and catch a few spiny rays. Caught several bluegill and crappie, some good sized ones which was released because fish were in the fridge and didn't want to clean any this evening. (lazy day) The highlight--or low point, depending on point of view--was when we returned to the launch and found it blocked by a truck and trailer which had slid into the lake. This launch is quite slippery due to the algae slime that is normal for this time of year. No one was injured, but truck had to be extracted by tow truck. An interesting evening to all bystanders to say the least, and a reminder to use caution during summer/fall low water launching.
In the pics you can see the cab and hood of the truck, and some of the trailer (hand crafted wooden) that was floating behind the truck.
I look forward to reading the many adventures shared here, and thanks to all the contributors that make this site possible

Nice report Loui. I saw a car slip down a ramp at Lake Wenatchee many years ago during sockeye season. Fortunately, in my thousands of launches, it hasn't happened to me. Tight lines, BJ

That sucks! I know first-hand how slippery that launch is. Thankfully I haven't ended up like that poor guy yet.

Just think about if they left the truck there, would make for some great fish structure by next spring!!!
