1/18/2009 9:34:00 PMNice report and GREAT advice. Roses usually pumps out some rainbow trout he ice, but I haven't been on the ice for several years.
Was mighty nice of you to let him ride in back of the rig instead of walking home,

1/19/2009 1:14:00 AMI've never seen an old man move as fast as my buddy did today. His eyes were as big as saucers I tell you. He was definitely scared. If you head up to Roses Lake before the next snow, I think you’ll still be able to see the slick he left as he got off the thin ice. I had to have him ride in back because you could just smell the fear on him and besides I've got cloth seats in my pickup.

Keep up with he great reports.
BTW, did ya settle on an anchor?
Big D
1/19/2009 7:17:00 AMI haven't really had time for the anchor yet. I’ll probably just tie a brick to a rope and use that. So much water and so little time. I've got a list a mile long of things I want to do to the boat before spring and when I showed the wife just the first page, she freaked out. I just sold a bow mount trolling motor and now I'm waiting on the payment so I can put the money into some new Scotty electrics. I’m hoping to be ready for the silvers on Lake Chelan this spring and then the salmon below Wells dam this next summer.
