Slow Start, but a hot time on ROSES Lake. Launched around 1430 and fished till around 1830. Used Plastic nymph immitations tipped with a white crappie candy nugget. The nugget seemed to be the ticket. Most fish were caught on the south end in 10-15 feet of water. While fishing for spinyrays, we picked up a limit of trout. with two being 3#, and the rest were standard fare. In all we caught 25-30 Bluegill and Crappie. We kept enough fillets to fill a quart baggie. The largest crappie was about 11 inches and the largest blugill was 9 inches with lots smaller. We counted 10 Ospreys around the lake at one time. WOW,What a display. Beautiful afternoon on the water, and fish for George.

Hey Loui, That's a great looking mess "O" fish. Thanks for the report and photos. Seeing the size of those trout, I may have to bypass RW for a short time. Congrats!

Thanks guys, Roses is a fun place to spend time on the water. Rumor has it there should be some 3-4# tripps in there this spring. So will be back on the water soon.
