Sometimes you just gotta take your grandson's fishing. Chandler (12) and Jesse (11), set lines, reeled fish and worked the net for their limits of Roses Rainbows. The old planters are pretty chunky 12 inchers now, but the fun part was watching them handle the 16 to 18 inch triploids. They really had a good time and I mostly got to sit back and tease them. Black wooly buggers were best. Big orange ones worked great too. Mack's Lures, Smile Blade Flies were very productive. The beads on the shank really let the blade turn freely. It really stirs the water up. Work down in the column. We were out from about 4 to 6PM so I had them set the 'riggers and the snap weights about 15 feet down.
