Headed out to Ki with my nephew after an unsuccessful effort earlier at Lake Goodwin as a JoshH video motivated me to give it a go. My nephew will submit a separate report. I used a pink top Elgin Fishing God's Tooth Kokanee trolling rig available at Reli Lures. I used a frog sling blade with a 16" leader and a 50' setback. Wanted to confirm that the Kokanee rig would work for trout when bait is preferred. I ran the rig with a piece of night crawler on each hook and the action was identical as using corn or maggots on the hooks. I used 1 rod clipped to a downrigger and depth was set at 30'. God blessed with 5 healthy trout in about 45 minutes and my nephew also limited out about the same time.

The video below shows some of the action for the day and wishing all tight lines!

Great job guys. Goodwin took me a long time to figure out (without anchoring up, chumming, and running power eggs off the bottom which bores the heck out of me) I've dumped my tackle box in the water there looking for something they would bite :) I told Isaiah that anytime you guys want I'll hop on board with you there or you can follow me pedaling around :)

Looks like an impressive day on Ki! Not everyday you see laketrollers on n inflatable!

Lol ive got 2 laketrollers on my inflatable as well. Have even gone out to baker lake and lake Wenatchee and hooked up on salmon. Its tough though. I mounted mine on a bracket though! Kinda curious on how you attached yours Elgin fishing

Thanks Josh, I know it would be great to meet you in person! I learned 2 things that could make a difference next time, one is a faster trolling speed and two would be 100' setback as opposed to 50'....Have to wait to next time to see if that resolves the Goodwin skunk :)

Good to hear from you riverhunter! So the raft in the video is actually my nephew's. I do know he glued Scotty rigger mounts to his raft and then I think he is using mini Scotty riggers that slide and lock into the base. Hope that helps. I'm impressed you took an inflatable out on Baker and Wenatchee and caught salmon. I can't even imagine trying something like that :)

Baker lake was a lot easier but lake Wenatchee was tough. Especially after the winds started to pick up. Both lakes I would launch on the north end of the lake close enough to where most are fishing
