Went out again today, caught 3. Went out around 6. Power bait with shrimp scent. Gamakatsu egg hooks work great.

Went out around 330 and instantly had a fish on. Using chartruse with mikes shrimp lunker lotion. Nice heafty 14. not the biggest but was a fat fish. Goin back Tomorrow

WOW, The fishing was amazing. using powerbait on Blackmens lake is the trick. red, green, rainbow, doesnt matter. just use powerbait and u will catch fish, no boat needed.

Got to the lake around 2 and went to the dock on the left side of the park. Threw out a Black Blue Fox with a silver blade, pretty small one. Caught one right of the bat with that. About an hour later...

It was horrible, no fish or bites to speak of. I do not suggest going for bass from the boat launch.

Got to the lake around 2 and fished for about two or three hours, used chronomids, wolly buggers, and mini bunny leaches, nothing. Then came in and saw some fish rolling close to the launch and put on...
