Fish from the kayaks from 6:30 AM till 8:30 AM. Tried chartreuse and white power eggs with no luck. It was still a good morning to paddle around the lake.

Hit Kayak Point around noon. Flung flies in hopes the Sea Run Cutthroat would cooperate. No luck, but it was still a great first day fly fishing in the salt.

We started fly casting from shore at 0800 at Picnic Point. The tide was outbound. We fished to just about slack tide. No luck. We used Clouser Minowos and Sand Lace imitators.
