check your regs. chinook fishing in these rivers are closed. plus all the rivers you listed will be closed to any fishing starting mid Feb due to emergency closure.

:nemo: :nemo: :fish: :fish: Gotta head south for these bad boys. Head to the Columbia tributaries like the Lewis or the Cowlitz. Be sure to check your regs for certain spots and rules. Good luck out there.[thumbsup] [thumbsup]

To be more specific check on line, not the printed copy. And check each day you go just to be sure there hasn't been any "emergency closures"

One can actually subscribe to newsletters that will update a person to the closer or changes at the WDFW site before they happen.

I went down to the Cowlitz to check out some early springer action I've been hearing. Didnt see any but heard of a few last week. Im ready for the springer action to get fierce. They will most likely follow the smelt in.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Yeah I dont have boat access and Im not sure where to bank drift on the columbia. My uncle was saying its usually not good from shore unless your fishing for sturgeon. So Im hoping the cow has them comming up already. I been talking to the wife and we might bring our trailer there and stay fri sat and sun next weekend. I know for sure im staying one night. Hopefully Ill be reporting some good tales of some good tails. Good luck to you.
