My fishing partner and I fished Heart Lake for 5 hours. The only action was having on one for about 10 seconds. We still fished for two hours without a bite. Will try again in a few weeks.

I got my limit on triploids but it took me about 4 hours. The fish were huge most in the 2 pound area, and a lot of fun to catch. Way too many people to compete with.

I fished American a couple of weedends ago and used a frog Flatfish of the surface and caught two chunky 12" bows in a couple of hours. This lake has good surface action, no reason to go deep.
